Plaisirs d'hiver
With over 200 stalls, the Brussels Christmas Market is the largest Christmas market in Belgium! Plaisirs d'Hiver welcomed more than 4 million visitors during its 23rd edition, highlighting the Belgian capital and attracting worldwide attention.
From November 29, 2024, to January 5, 2025, don’t miss the opportunity to explore one of the most popular Christmas markets and immerse yourself in a magical atmosphere! On the agenda: diverse stands, entertainment for all ages, magical light shows, and many surprises to make your holiday season shine.
Louvain-la-Neuve
Louvain La Neige
From November 29 to December 21, 2024, it’s Louvain-la-Neuve’s turn to host its Christmas market. On the Grand Place and the Place de l’Université, over 100 exhibitors will be spread across 80 wooden chalets.
The Grand Place hosts around thirty craft and local product stalls, where you can enjoy delicious treats such as mulled wine, pastries, and savory specialties while warming up by a large wood fire and admiring the decorated cabins. On Place de l’Université, about fifty chalets will introduce you to handmade creations and local as well as international products.
The uniqueness of this Christmas market lies in the "POP-UP CHALETS," where artisans change every week to offer you unique creations. It’s the perfect place to find original gifts or savor the delights of Christmas.
Bruges
Lueur d'Hiver
The magic of winter awaits you in Bruges from November 22, 2024, to January 5, 2025, with the event Lueur d'hiver.
An illuminated walk, Christmas markets, an ice rink, a cozy winter bar, and entertainment spread throughout the historic center of Bruges will be part of the event.
Lueur d'Hiver offers a different perspective of Bruges, with chalets offering handcrafted products, local specialties, and Christmas delights.
Bilzen
Winterland Hasselt
The 16th edition of Winterland Hasselt will take place from November 15, 2024, to January 5, 2025, at Kolonel Dusart Square! This winter festival focuses on several major attractions: an impressive ice rink, a cozy Grand Café to relax with a hot chocolate, and an animated Spiegeltent.
There are also Christmas chalets on site offering handcrafted products, decorations, unique gifts, and of course, delicious specialties such as mulled wine, waffles, and chocolates.
Mons
Mons Coeur En Neige
The 20th edition of Mons Coeur en Neige will take place from December 7, 2024, to January 5, 2025, transforming the city center of Mons into a Christmas village. On Leopold Square, the ice rink will be covered and enlarged, and the herb market will be illuminated in a unique way. On December 7 at 5 p.m., a musical show will be held at the Grand-Place, with the presence of Miss Belgium 2024. On the Grand-Place, around fifty chalets will be set up, and numerous free performances (stilt walkers, brass bands, light shows) will brighten the streets on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays until December 22.
Leuven
Marché de Noël de Leuven
One of the oldest Christmas markets in Belgium is the Noëm market in Leuven, located on Herbert Hooverplein and Ladeuzeplein. With over 140 chalets, it offers original decorations and handcrafted products from the region and around the world. You’ll find specialties such as pralines, waffles, and candied fruits for visitors. Many food trucks and stalls also offer a range of dishes and drinks, such as mulled wine and Irish espresso. The Grand Café Rudolf offers a friendly break, making it the perfect place to enjoy the festive atmosphere of Christmas.
Mechelen
Marché de Noël de Malines
In the city of Mechelen, where many famous buildings are protected by UNESCO, the Christmas market will be held under the theme "Mechelen keeps you warm." This market, spread across the Dyle quays and Lamot, features beautifully decorated chalets offering unique handcrafted products, hot soup, jenever, hot chocolate, and other treats, all accompanied by Christmas music. The World Market at Lamot presents international items, with sales supporting charitable causes. In the town hall courtyard, the Winterbar Mirage offers drinks, food, and entertainment. A wonderful experience not to be missed to immerse yourself in the magic of the holidays!
